Carli the student of the week ...

Carli is student of the week this week.  She waited all year for her turn.  This week is all about Carli! Today she brings in a poster.  Tomorrow her favorite toy, Wednesday her favorite snack, Thursday her favorite game and Friday momma will read her favorite story to her class.

This crazy boy was helping to carry the paint in the new house. I am pretty sure it was almost as heavy as he is. He insisted. His smile shows his excitement for our new home. We all share this same excitement.

A night out for momma and poppa ....

We have been making it a point to go out together way more often now.  We have date night at least every two weeks.  Tonight was an unbelievably good time.  My husband is truly my best friend and we have so much fun out together.  For too long we didn't make date night a priority.  Three kids pretty much back to back made it very difficult.  We decided not anymore.  We needed date nights to happen. Tonight we had an amazing dinner, went to the Rob Thomas concert (amazing!!!) and then went out for a bit.  We came home and didn't go right to sleep.  That meant a tired momma in the morning, but all worth it!

Moving .... its just beginning

We are so excited to be moving! We are just beginning the process.  Over the next two weeks we will be slowly moving into our new home.  Not so sure my stuff will make it over in one piece if the truck loads continue to look like this.

Our new home is such a symbolic move for us.  A fresh start, a new beginning, a home instead of a house.  We are renovating the new house with the goal of entertaining .... an open door rule for friends and family.  Our backyard will have an unbelievable outdoor kitchen.  We plan to spend most of our time out there.  We can't wait to build forever and long lasting memories of the kids and of our family in our beautiful new home.

Uncle D's birthday get together ....

Today we celebrated uncle "D's" birthday.  These cousins love each other and have such a good time with each other.  I wish we had more time to spend together.  Life is just so busy.  When our new home is complete, we will definitely be having more get togethers.  Our cousins included!!

American Girl Fashion Show

Today the girls were in the American Girl fashion show.  This is the second year the girls did this.  The fashion show is not only fun, come on it is American Girl, but it supports a great cause.  The fashion show is a fundraiser for the Palm Beach Literacy Coalition.  Lexi was Marie Grace and Carli so adorably modeled American Girl pajamas.  One of Lexi's best friends Gabby was Cecile.  What a great day for a great cause! So happy to be on the committee and a part of this amazing fundraiser.

Authors Showcase

Lexi and her class presented an authors showcase to all the parents.  Every time I go into one of the kids classrooms, I get more and more amazed.  All year the children have been writing stories and poems.  Today was the day that they got to choose one of their favorites and present it to all the parents.    The confidence of these little ones, even the most timid ones, is amazing! The got up one by one and so proudly read to us what they had written.  Following the presentations, we got to go around and meet all the "authors" and even get some autographs! Momma and poppa are so proud of you Lexi.

Momma's birthday celebration .... again!

The girls celebrated momma turning 40! Me and some of my favorite girls headed out for dinner and drinks.  I truly love my friends and the friendships they offer.  For some reason a handful of friends didn't make a picture.  Not pictured but equally loved is Perim, Linda and Lisa! Thanks for a great night ladies and thankful even more for your great friendships!

Parents day with Gavin

Today we celebrated all the parents of preschool.  What a fantastic morning for momma and poppa.  Gavin was so proud to show off his singing and hard work.  Gavin sang Baby Beluga.  He brought us into his classroom and showed us everything! We went got to see lots of caterpillars on all the milkweed plants that they planted.  I truly feel blessed that the kids have the opportunity to attend such an amazing school.
