So, we came back from breakfast this morning and noticed a baby bird (feathered, which is a good sign) at our front door. It seemed as if he was probably taking one of his first flights and just simply hadn't mastered it yet. We noticed two cardinals that seemed to "attacking" it. Not ok with us, especially Lexi.
We brought it in, put it in a box and did some research. Turns out if you find a baby bird, just place it in a safe place (its a myth that you can't touch it or the momma will reject it). The momma bird can here its cry for up to 2 blocks away. So we did just that. Turned out those two cardinals that appeared to be "attacking" the baby bird, were not attacking it but loving it. We know this as we moved the baby bird to a totally different location and those two cardinals found it. They all hung around for a couple of days. So darn cute!
We also randomly found a bird nest that same day.
